Dictado "Pancake Day"

Pancake day (Shrove Tuesday)  is celebrated 47 days before Easter, the day before Ash Wednesday. It’s a preparation to lent where foods like sugar or butter are to be given up.

To avoid temptation during lent, families used to remove all non-lent foods from their cupboards, and a good way to use them together was making pancakes.

It’s been said that pancakes are a representation of the pillars of christian faith, eggs for creation, flour for sustenance, salt for wholesomeness  and milk for purity. No one knows if that is true but there . . .
